The Ceylon Medical College Council (CMCC), under the Ministry of Health Sri Lanka, has established and conducts the External Pharmacist’s Apprentice Course.
This job-oriented program aims to prepare candidates for the External Pharmacist Examination, facilitating their registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) as Registered Pharmacists, and supplying competent professionals to the pharmaceutical industry.
Pharmacists are healthcare professionals specializing in the discovery, development, use, storage, preservation, and provision of medicines.
The program is covering the following key subjects:
Anatomy: Structure of the human body
Physiology: Functioning of the human body
Pathology: Human diseases
Clinical Biochemistry: Diagnosis of human diseases
Pharmacology: Medicines for diseases
Pharmaceutics: Pharmaceutical products and manufacturing processes
Forensic Pharmacy: Pharmaceutical law
Under the guidance of Dr. Isuru Wijesinghe (PhD) (MSc) (BPharm), the entire syllabus will be covered within 15 months, ensuring that you are well-prepared to face the examination with confidence and success.
